SEA(RIVER) WATCHING (INNER THAMES STYLE)

The best way to get close to the birds, seawatching boat available at short notice to get up close and pesonal with the Skuas!!

In reality though, seeing seabirds is generally land based in the Thames estuary though, and I was fotunate enough once again to see a Pom Skua loafing around offshore from Coastguards. Although still not quite close enough for photos, better than nothing.

The Poms have been present pretty much all winter now and though by no means certain, seeing them at close range is superb.

Earlier in the day there were 2 adult Med Gulls over St Mary's Bay, Hoo and a Common Buzzard nearby. The other highlight of the day was this Peregrine over Cliffe that was giving a jumbo jet a run for it's money.!!!
